About the role:
The Senior Program Advisor works within a team reporting to the Manager, Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services (PSRACS) Commissioning and Governance. The role is responsible for providing specialist expertise and high-quality strategic advice to support PSRACS in delivering safe, high-quality care and meeting Commonwealth regulatory and accreditation requirements. Victoria has currently 154 PSRACS across Victoria with over 5,400 residential aged care beds.
The position plays a key role in identifying, coordinating, and leading responses to emerging issues, risks, and performance challenges within PSRACS. It contributes to the development and implementation of improvement initiatives and program priorities aimed at strengthening capability, governance, and continuous improvement within PSRACS.
The role provides high-quality advice to inform departmental and sector engagement on key reforms impacting residential aged care services. The role requires the development and maintenance of effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, alongside responsibility for program coordination, project delivery, and budget management.
