Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Senior Procurement Advisor will support implementation and ongoing delivery of procurement services across MCV. The role will ensure that procurements are conducted efficiently and in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures. These procurements mostly relate to professional services and staffing services but also include multiple Request for Tender processes.
To do this effectively, you will need to:
• Identify and lead strategic procurement activities, including providing specialist procurement advice to stakeholders; identifying policy and process improvements; and making recommendations on preferred procurement methods.
• Initiate and maintain communication channels with key stakeholders, negotiating and influencing peers to ensure projects, contracts and agreements are managed within required timeframes.
• Deliver specialist support and training to stakeholders within contract management and finance systems, including across State Purchase Contracts (SPCs) procurement processes and eSourcing environments E.g., VendorPanel, Tenders.Vic and Zycus environments.
• Manage and lead highly technical procurement activities, including monitoring and reporting; conducting internal and external market analysis; and executing contract variations or options when required.
• Prepare complex procurement documents and manage their administration through government tendering systems (e.g. Tenders Vic, Zycus and VendorPanel)

About you
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting public sector procurement processes with a focus on probity.
• Solid experience in leading end to end procurements under VGPB guidelines (min. 5 years)
• Experience with Zycus and Oracle is desired but not essent ial.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
