As the Senior Premium Auditor you will be responsible for undertaking complex compliance activities aimed at ensuring employers in Victoria are paying their fair share of WorkCover Insurance Premium.
Focused on the larger employers within the scheme and using their detailed technical and industry knowledge, the Senior Premium Auditor is required to conduct detailed reviews and be able to formulate and clearly articulate well-reasoned decisions.
- $133,944.00 per annum + 12% superannuation

As the Senior Premium Auditor you will be responsible for undertaking complex compliance activities aimed at ensuring employers in Victoria are paying their fair share of WorkCover Insurance Premium.
Focused on the larger employers within the scheme and using their detailed technical and industry knowledge, the Senior Premium Auditor is required to conduct detailed reviews and be able to formulate and clearly articulate well-reasoned decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting detailed reviews and formulate considered and well-reasoned determinations as to whether employers' premium has been calculated in accordance with WorkSafe legislation, guidelines and policies
- Communicate directly with employers and their representatives during the review process including undertaking employer site visits, providing a high level of service, support and education
- Interpret and apply complex legislation, such as the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and associated Premiums Orders.
- Provide expert technical support and leadership within the Premium Compliance branch to other team members and management, as well as to external stakeholders.
- Provide a significant contribution in leading or supporting the implementation of initiatives across the Premium Compliance program and wider Insurance division
- Responsible for undertaking Agent Audits in relation to new registrations, new workplaces and WorkCover Industry Classification changes conducted by WorkSafe's authorised agents
About you
You will be an experienced Auditor who has both a passion and interest in mentoring and coaching others. In addition to your highly developed written and oral communication skills, you will be a strong team player.
Your strengths will also include your time management, prioritisation and organisation skills, along with your ability to meet tight deadlines.
Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- High level working knowledge and understanding of the application of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and related Premiums Orders
- Ability to identify and apply best practice and appropriate business solutions and escalate recommendations accordingly
- Ability to undertake effective research and analysis of financial documents and other information
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and influence in a professional manner with a range of internal and external stakeholders, especially employers
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance or Law. (Desirable) Alternatively, or in addition to, you will have significant and relevant work experience.
