THE ROLE
As a Senior Practice Adviser, you will contribute to the implementation of legislative requirements in the Disability Act 2006 and oversight of state-based restrictive practices. A key role is to influence practice development through provisions under the Act which aim to safeguard the rights of persons whose behaviours pose significant risk of harm to others. You will represent the Senior Practitioner at VCAT and provide oversight of those individuals who are at risk of being subject to compulsory treatment or have transitioned from supervised treatment orders but remain subject to restrictive practices under behaviour support plans.
