THE ROLE
Porfoilio Manager
The Senior Portfolio Advisor, within the Enterprise Portfolio Governance team, helps support the organisation to effectively deliver on its capital programs, including the Big Housing Build.
The role works closely with the branches to support enterprise portfolio reporting and analysis, establishment of a consistent and high-quality standard of practice for project delivery across Homes Victoria project management community through provision of capability uplift activities, provide advice on best practice project management practices and working with stakeholders on development and effective use of digital program management tools.
Are you
- An experienced portfolio advisor with a strong track record of managing project portfolios across a diverse set of project types and scales?
- Effective at collaborating to build effective program management procedures and practices that are fit for purpose and embed a proactive approach to managing costs, quality, schedules, and outcomes?
- Experienced at advising project managers on all stages of the project lifecycle; stage gating requirements, milestone, and benefit identification (preferably with experience of the High Value High Risk Framework)?
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Oversee the full life cycle of a portfolio of projects such that they meet departmental objectives
- Identify emerging issues (including variances), risk and trends across projects that impact on the successful achievement of key business objectives through building project insights and proactively providing feedback to the project management community to improve accuracy of outcomes and minimise risk exposure.
- Apply specialist knowledge to contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of a project management framework in line with the strategic objectives of Homes Victoria and the requirements of the HVHR Project Assurance Framework and related policies.
