THE ROLE
The Senior Policy and Project Officer is responsible for actively contributing to the the design and implementation of strengthened state-wide and place-based governance arrangements to improve service coordination and consistent service delivery, including assertive outreach, entry points and IAP, and Networks.
The Senior Policy and Project Officer will undertake research, analysis, policy development and design work and will work effectively with stakeholders to gather information, insights, support and contribute to policy and project governance bodies. Collaborating with external homelessness agencies, colleagues within DFFH and across the Victorian Government is also a significant part of the role.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
- Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs, including implementation planning.
- The development and delivery of policy advice and projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Monitoring and identifying risks and appropriately managed.
- Provide clear, concise and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present correspondence, reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions.
- Represent and support the unit on/with stakeholder committees and groups concerned with achieving government and departmental objectives and contribute to relevant committee and governance processes.
