About the role:
The Senior Policy Officer, Strategic Policy & Projects role will provide expert strategic advice and contribute to the delivery of strategic projects both as part of a team, with responsibility for leading key streams of work, and independently.
The responsibilities include providing policy development support and capability building through working on specific projects in policy areas or with senior executives, as needed.
The successful candidate will be a high performing team member with strong analytical, strategic planning, project management and communication skills. Specialist skills in health systems, analytics, government processes, legislation, stakeholder consultation, policy design, or program implementation are desirable.
The role requires working closely with teams and other partners to define problems, analyse qualitative and quantitative inputs, consult stakeholders, and develop options and creative, implementable solutions. The Senior Policy Officer is diligent and comfortable working with unfamiliar and complex issues and building positive relationships with senior stakeholders. Success in this role will be predicated on the ability to work with deep subject matter experts and ensure outcomes are achieved.
