The Senior Policy Officer, Ports Facilitation, role supports development and delivery of port infrastructure for the Victoria’s offshore wind (OSW) energy program. The position sits within the Ports Facilitation team, which is part of the Infrastructure and Supply Chain Branch of Offshore Wind Energy Victoria (OWEV).
The Senior Policy Officer role supports senior management on the development and delivery of port infrastructure for Victoria’s offshore wind projects. The position will play a critical role in working with port operators and offshore wind proponents in understanding the needs and requirements for offshore wind port infrastructure, while maintaining probity requirements. The role will work to ensuring that offshore wind ports as a piece of critical enabling infrastructure is delivered in a timely manner and meets the needs of Victoria’s offshore wind program.
The position works in close collaboration with a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders across State Government departments, offshore wind energy port participants distributed globally, industry, education and training providers and community stakeholders. This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
