Senior Policy Officer, Policy and Insights
The Role
Contribute to the design and delivery of outcomes-focused policy and research aligned to departmental priorities, with a focus on Creative Victoria's strategic agenda. You'll also collaborate with Creative Victoria's First Peoples team to support self-determined engagement and ensure First Peoples perspectives are embedded in policy thinking. The role supports work planning, contributes to team capability, and delivers high-quality advice and analysis.
A Senior Policy Officer plays a role in developing, implementing, and managing policies which contribute to the department's objectives. They research, analyse, and provide advice on policy matters, often with a focus on strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, and monitor the implementation of policies, evaluate their effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements. The Team
The position of Senior Policy Officer, Policy and Insights, forms a part of the Policy and Delivery Branch within the Creative Victoria Group.
The branch brings together Creative Victoria's programs and investment in support of artists, creative workers, creative organisations, businesses, and portfolio agencies, with our work to manage and deliver world-class creative infrastructure. The branch also leads on policy and coordination across government and industry, and the development of Victoria's creative industries strategy.
About You
This role requires experience in policy development, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across the department. The position fosters a constructive team culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering timely, strategic outputs across the policy lifecycle.
