Senior Policy Officer

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Priority Projects and Partnerships, as the Senior Policy Officer, you will proactively liaise with internal and external stakeholders supporting regional development policy and stakeholder engagement activities, with a particular focus on the successful coordination and delivery of partnership initiatives in place.

The Team
The position of Senior Policy Officer forms a part of the Regional Development Victoria group in the Regional Economic Growth and Investment branch.
The Regional Economic Growth and Investment branch is responsible for both complex program and project delivery and providing enabling services in program and investment, project management, reporting, program evaluation, and partnership activities to RDV. The branch is also responsible for supporting critical partnership activities including Aboriginal Economic Self Determination initiatives, RDAs, and Regional Partnerships.
About You
A relevant tertiary degree and demonstrated understanding of the Victorian context and regional government objectives would be well regarded.
Use your flexibility and adaptability to adjust systems and processes quickly in line with changes to priorities. Your ooutcomes thinking will enable you to establish mechanisms to monitor impact of work on the community and ensures the team's operating and delivery model is designed in ways that creates a positive impact on community. This role will provide you with the opportunity to further develop your partnering and co-creation skills, building trust in partnerships through timely and quality delivery of outcomes, as well as facilitating discussion and navigating differences of opinion to reach decisions.
