The Senior Policy Officer, Energy Consumer Policy, is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality policy research and advice on issues to support transparency, consumer protections and affordability in Victoria’s energy retail market. The successful candidate will have strong policy development and implementation skills. The candidate will have the capacity to identify and respond to current and emerging issues in a planned and strategic manner, independently undertake complex research and analysis, and deliver clear policy advice.
Excellent written communication and organisational skills, proven ability to prioritise and deliver within tight timeframes, demonstrated experience with government processes and strong critical thinking ability are also required. A background in energy policy, law or economics is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 31 December 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
