Senior Policy Officer
The Role
The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for supporting the design and delivery of industry development policy and strategies that strengthen the Victorian economy. Working across the Industry, Construction and Manufacturing unit and the broader department, the role focuses on shaping industry policy, delivering new initiatives and programs, and engaging with stakeholders across industry, academia and government. The successful candidate will be a capable policy professional with experience managing complex stakeholder environments and contributing to sector strategies and growth.
Main Accountabilities
The Team
This role sits within the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch in the Industry, Trade and Investment Group. The branch leads the Victorian Government's industry development agenda through policy design and program delivery that supports business growth, workforce inclusion and economic prosperity.
About You
You have demonstrated experience building strategic relationships and influencing stakeholders across government and industry. You bring strong experience delivering complex policy, projects or programs that support industry growth, along with well-developed analytical and conceptual skills to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
