Support Victorian agriculture to be diverse and productive – lead and contribute policy and analysis that supports farmers and the broader industry to seize growth opportunities and be productive, innovative and sustainable.
Agriculture Victoria seeks a Senior Policy Officer, Industry Development Policy to join a newly established team providing critical policy analysis, advice and program development and delivery across areas including include AgTech and innovation, small scale industry, targeted programs and grants, industry development committees and order, supply chain and circular economy, priority sectors and economic strategy.
The Senior Policy Officer will lead and contribute to dedicated projects relating to industry development in the context of broader government economic and industry priorities. They will also prepare and review quality reports, project proposals, briefings and ministerial correspondence across all mediums (e.g. verbal, written and PowerPoint) as required for the Minister, policy manager, and senior management.
The Senior Policy Analyst will engage with stakeholders from across agriculture – not just farmers, but the broader supply chain, industry organisations, non-profits and beyond. They will also liaise, negotiate and collaborate across government and with a broad range of stakeholders and effectively represent the department in multi-jurisdictional forums and stakeholder consultations.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 3 years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
