You may be a good fit for the Senior Policy Officer role.
This role provides the opportunity to design and develop robust and consumer-centric reforms to Victoria’s retail energy market to make energy accessible, fair and affordable for all customers. Working within a flexible, supportive and collaborative team and branch, the successful candidate will support the team's role in making changes to primary and subordinate legislation and consideration of licence exemption requests. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead on Cabinet submissions that support development of Bills; prepare regulations and associated papers for the Governor-in-Council; and draft Ministerial orders and notices on a range of matters relating to the retail energy market and issues facing energy consumers. Proven experience in complex policy and regulatory analysis, exceptional analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach, excellent written communication skills, collaborative approach and understanding of government processes is also required. Legal qualifications and experience in legislative and regulatory reform will be highly regarded. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and motivation to improve outcomes for those struggling with energy affordability will also be an asset.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
