The Senior Policy Officer supports a program of work that facilitates Victorian energy efficiency and electrification through the Victorian Energy Upgrades program. The VEU program is one of the largest existing emission reduction policies in Victoria and plays a strong role in delivering governmental decarbonisation objectives.
This position has a specific focus on delivering a discrete reform to the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulations in 2026. The role requires providing direction on energy efficiency policy and regulation, organisational and project delivery and management skills, and effective relationship building. Strong written and communication skills are required, including to brief the Minister and to represent the Department at stakeholder meetings and forums.

This is a fixed term position available until 31 December 2026. The successful candidate can select a base of either our Melbourne or Morwell office, hybrid work arrangements are also available.
