The Senior Policy Officer role provides responsive and strategic advice to identify and develop pathways to deliver electrification and energy efficiency improvements for Victoria’s buildings. Outcomes are achieved through working collaboratively with government agencies, other jurisdictions and external stakeholders. This position will also support the team’s work with the Community housing sector on the new Minimum Energy Efficiency Rental Standards.
The Senior Policy Officer role collaborates across the Energy Group and with internal and external stakeholders to identify linkages between policy and operational outcomes. This position requires experience in policy development, stakeholder management and strategic thinking as well as a detailed understanding of government processes. An understanding and experience of the strategic policies, programs and opportunities that advance residential and commercial energy efficiency and electrification is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills are also required.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
