The Senior Policy Officer will support delivery of Offshore Wind Energy Victoria's (OWEV) legislative and regulatory reforms to support Victoria's developing offshore wind sector. The position will coordinate and work with a diverse range of stakeholders to inform and support the development of a bespoke offshore wind regulatory framework including policy and program elements to expedite the offshore sector development in Victoria.
The Regulatory Frameworks team will have a sound understanding of relevant State and Federal legislative, policy and governance frameworks that would apply to OWEV and offshore wind activities spanning Victorian and Commonwealth jurisdictions. The team will be required to be familiar with key regulatory frameworks and instruments spanning land, planning and environmental laws and regulations, energy market laws and regulation, and public and administrative laws, frameworks, and processes.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of an extension until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
