The Senior Policy Officer is a senior member of the Office of Bushfire Risk Management's Sector Policy Unit and is responsible for providing high-quality and timely advice to government on the development and implementation of sector-wide bushfire management policy and strategy, including contemporary bushfire management targets. The Senior Policy Officer works collaboratively across the Bushfire and Forest Services Group and with key partners across the bushfire management sector to deliver whole-of-government outcomes.
In this role, you will build relationships and use influence to further strategic outcomes. The position requires strong policy and critical thinking skills, contextual awareness to navigate a dynamic environment, in addition to project management skills, to ensure advice is timely and well-targeted and initiatives are delivered successfully.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
