About the role:
The Senior Policy Adviser supports implementation of the Victorian Medicines Formulary (Formulary) by leading and contributing to policy, governance, legislative reform and system improvement initiatives required to embed the reform across Victoria's public health system.
Working closely with Safer Care Victoria, Department of Health policy and legal teams, strategic partners and health service stakeholders, the role develops policy options, analyses legislative and regulatory frameworks, supports reform implementation and contributes to statewide medicines governance initiatives that strengthen consistency, safety and value in medicines use.
The role leads and contributes to a broad range of policy and reform activities within the Medicines Formulary program, including legislative reform projects, governance and accountability initiatives, implementation planning, stakeholder consultation, executive and ministerial briefings, and strategic policy development.
