The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Policy and Project Officer to provide a critical role within Workforce and Aboriginal Outcomes.

Corrections Victoria is part of the Corrections and Justice Services group in the Department of Justice and Community Safety. The Senior Policy and Projects Officer role sits within the Cultural Reform and Workforce Strategy team. The team supports the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, Workforce and Aboriginal Outcomes to lead cultural and workforce reform across the prison system to provide a safe and inclusive workplace and key cultural, rehabilitation, transition, and reintegration programs.
About the Role
The Senior Policy and Project Officer contributes to the development and implementation of key workforce initiatives that will uplift the recruitment, training, development and supervision of corrections staff. The role works to develop and implement key cultural reform initiatives, including initiatives related to improving Cultural safety and separation practices.
The role is responsible for contributing to strategic and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders, including executives and government on key issues relating to corrections workforce, policy and strategy.
