The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Policy and Projects Manager, to contribute to a critical reform program for Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Corrections Victoria's purpose is to enhance community safety through the operation of safe and humane community corrections, adult prison and post-sentence systems that supports reducing reoffending by delivering on the fundamentals of good order and control in prisons, a professional and skilled workforce, case management and programs and services that address the root causes of offending behaviour.
The Workforce Capability and Cultural Reform (WCCR) team supports the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, Workforce and Aboriginal Outcomes to lead reform across the prison system to uplift workforce capability and deliver key initiatives committed to Corrections Victoria's Prison Workforce Strategy.
About the Role
The Senior Policy and Projects Manager role sits within the learning reform and delivery team within WCCR and is specifically focused on the development and implementation of initiatives related to uplifting learning for prison staff. Reform projects are focused on pre-service training, ongoing learning and learning governance across the system. The successful candidate will provide strategic advice, prepare authoritative written materials and manage projects to support a complex and significant program of reform work.
