THE ROLE
This role is part of a team responsible for maintaining direct engagement with providers, peaks, and program areas to understand system pressures and inform departmental decisions.
The Senior Policy & Project Officer will contribute to strategic and complex policy, projects and stakeholder management to provide evidence-based insights and advice to support decision making by the executive. The role will require an understanding of the structural context of the community services system funded by the department, and will build strong partnerships with peaks, providers and broader industry as relevant. Projects may include cross sector workforce planning and analysis of relevant workforce trends and issues. This role will also have responsibility for coordination and secretariat work for the unit.
Applicants should possess strong written skills, conceptual and analytical abilities, project management skills and be collaborative. They will be responsive to tasks, including the provision of responses in a timely manner, and will be required to contribute to a variety of work priorities within the System Insights and Improvement unit.
