The Senior Policy and Engagement Officer will lead delivery of high-quality engagement support and advice across DEECA to build relationships and partnerships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians. This position will also contribute to, and be guided by, the actions the Aboriginal Engagement and Delivery Branch have responsibility for under Pupangarli Marnmarnepu (DEECA’s Aboriginal Self-Determination Reform Strategy 2020-2025).
The role will sit within the Aboriginal Engagement and Delivery Branch under the First Peoples Self-Determination Division. The Branch is responsible for supporting DEECA to build and strengthen meaningful relationships and genuine partnerships with the many distinct Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal communities and key stakeholders.
The Senior Policy and Engagement will also work with internal and external partners to ensure the integrated delivery of Partnerships and Engagement support services to the community.
As an active member of the First Peoples’ Self-Determination Division, the Senior Policy and Engagement Officer will contribute to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focussed, collaborative, professional and engaged.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
