About the Role
Fixed Term Opportunity until 29 January 2027
The Senior Policy Analyst will play a central role in the development of the Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) for Environment Effects Statement fees, supporting reforms to modernise Victoria’s environmental assessment cost framework. The role will undertake policy analysis, economic assessment, regulatory design, and stakeholder engagement to support evidence-based fee reforms and deliver best-practice regulatory products aligned with the requirements of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.
This position will lead research, prepare policy options, coordinate consultation, analyse regulatory impacts, and make a significant contribution to drafting the RIS, ensuring recommendations are robust, transparent, and meet Victorian Government regulatory practice requirements.
The role requires experience in regulatory policy development, cost-benefit analysis, economic modelling, or regulatory reform, as well as excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across government, industry, and community.
