The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Assessment & Reporting division in the Quality Assurance and Improvement unit for a fixed term position.
* Salary: $116,413 - $140,849 (Plus Superannuation of 12%)
* Fixed term till 31/08/2026
* Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions may be/are available)
* Usual work location: East Melbourne
About the division/unit:
The Quality Assurance and Implementation Unit leads policy, procedure and process development for assessment and reporting functions and provides quality assurance advice and support for the Assessment Division of the VCAA.
About the role/role purpose:
The Senior Policy Advisor leads the shaping of VCAA policies for the Assessment Division. This involves leading strategic policy projects at every stage of the policy cycle. This also includes research, analysis, development of policy options and the preparation of reports. The Senior Policy Advisor has a particular focus on policy and procedure development for the improvement of the examinations administration process, in the context of continuous improvement.
About you:
You have a proven ability to engage with a broad range of internal stakeholders to develop and deliver policy, procedure and processes.
Experience and qualifications:
Experience in policy development is desirable.
