Role Purpose
As a Senior Policy Advisor in the Wellbeing Workforces and Child Safety Unit you will work as part of a team to develop policy advice that contributes to the Department of Education's work to safeguard children in Victorian schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to support schools and the department to create child safe environments where all children feel safe and are safe.
The Senior Policy Advisor, Wellbeing Workforces and Child Safety Unit, works as part of a team to provide policy advice and contribute to the Department of Education's work to safeguard children in Victorian schools.
The Wellbeing Workforces and Child Safety Unit leads policy and capability building to support schools and the department to create child safe environments where all children feel safe and are safe. We develop policy, guidance and training to help schools comply with the Child Safe Standards and respond to harm and abuse. We work with regional workforces, peak bodies from other education sectors, and key school and early childhood stakeholders. We also administer the National Student Wellbeing Program.
