Role description
The Senior Physiotherapist Program Lead is a key member of the Ambulatory Care Program, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy services to individuals accessing outpatient clinics across the Dhelkaya Health catchment.
This senior clinical leadership role combines advanced physiotherapy practice with program leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage a clinical caseload while supporting the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of ambulatory care services. Working within an evidence-based framework, the Senior Physiotherapist Program Lead will promote optimal health outcomes and enhance the quality and effectiveness of outpatient care.
In partnership with Program Managers, Professional Leads, Program Leads, and other stakeholders, the role contributes to the planning, coordination, and delivery of safe, high-quality clinical services. The position provides leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, supporting clinical excellence, workforce development, quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and adherence to professional standards.
The Senior Physiotherapist Program Lead plays an important role in fostering a collaborative and positive team culture, supporting recruitment and retention strategies, mentoring staff, and promoting best-practice care across ambulatory services.
In addition to leading physiotherapy services, the role may provide leadership support to other outpatient Ambulatory Care programs as required by the Ambulatory Care Manager and Physiotherapy Professional Lead.
