What you'll do
As a Senior Analyst – OHS Workforce Data at the Victorian Public Sector Commission, you will analyse data from the People matter survey to help identify and understand psychosocial risks in Victorian public sector workplaces.
You will assess how survey data can be used to support psychosocial risk assessments under the Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations. You will evaluate data quality and reliability, interpret results and develop reports and visuals that show how survey insights relate to workplace health and safety.
You will work closely with WorkSafe Victoria, departmental OHS specialists and other partners to build a shared understanding of psychosocial hazards across the sector. You will also help refine how the Commission reports and communicates data to support good workplace practices.
You will mentor junior analysts and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture that values collaboration, learning and data integrity.
Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who can connect survey data and psychological health and safety at work.
You will have strong technical skills in SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Python or R, and experience analysing large survey or workforce datasets. You can assess data quality and explain complex results in clear and practical ways.
You are confident working with others and can build strong relationships with partners such as WorkSafe Victoria and OHS specialists. You enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting others and working as part of a collaborative team.
Experience in social research or occupational health and safety would be a plus, along with knowledge of psychosocial hazard frameworks and the Psychological Health Regulations.
