Our Opportunity
The Senior Officer Data and Analytics plays a critical role in enabling the VGCCC to make informed, risk‑based regulatory decisions. The position strengthens our intelligence and risk assessment activities by ensuring we can effectively use data to identify emerging issues, understand sector behaviours, and support evidence‑based assurance and monitoring. This role focuses on developing high‑quality analytics products from business point of view that highlight trends, uncover anomalies, and track sector performance. A key component of the role is to assess and map the VGCCC's current data holdings, identify gaps that limit regulatory insight, and recommend opportunities to improve data quality, accessibility, and strategic value. While the role collaborates closely with technical specialists, it is not responsible for technical data engineering or system build activities.
