The group's key focus areas are:
Emergency response: When our state is impacted by emergency – be that a critical incident, bushfire or an act of terrorism – we must be ready, as our colleagues and the public will depend on us.
Building trust and confidence: Delivering communications that amplify the extraordinary work of Victoria Police in keeping the community safe, targeting the crime types we know are driving fear. We are also focused on storytelling, events and opportunities that humanise our officers and build connection, showcasing the commitment of police to helping the community.
Crime prevention: Working to reduce harm and the number of victims in our community by raising awareness about the work of police in preventing crime from happening in the first place. We also work to make sure the public has the information they need to feel safe and report crime when it occurs.
