The Senior Manager Urban Water Security will lead a team of six staff responsible for urban water security within the Water Security Policy & Planning Branch.
The position is responsible for leading the delivery of the Water Security Plan and implementation of associated readiness planning activities, Statewide Annual Water Outlook and oversee the development of Urban Water Strategies by Victoria’s 16 water corporations with urban functions. The position will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to provide timely, strategic analysis and advice to the Minister, executives and interdepartmental forums.
This position will be responsible for delivering on Government priorities and actions under Water for Victoria and the Central and Gippsland Region Sustainable Water Strategy (CGRSWS). The role suits someone with superior leadership and engagement skills and the ability to quickly develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. The successful applicant is self-motivated with proven skills in water management, policy development, and tackling complex, multi-disciplinary issues. The role suits someone with flexibility, and a team-focused approach that will enable the effective delivery of sustainable water management outcomes for Victorian communities.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
