About the Business Unit:
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.
Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.
About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Program Delivery reports directly to the Director, Road Safety and is an integral member of the senior leadership team. The Senior Manager, Program Delivery will lead a team of Senior Project Managers through the delivery of several complex projects across Road Safety. The role is expected to provide high level project management and delivery expertise and advice to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the program of works within Road Safety.
The position will be required to liaise with specialist project management staff, finance and contract management staff and operations teams through each stage of the project delivery lifecycle. They will be required to establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups including suppliers, vendors and contractors.
Some of your duties will include:
(a) Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
(b) Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline, quality and budget parameters.
(c) Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met and associated benefits realised.
