About the role:
This position is a Fixed-Term, Full-time role from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028.
The Senior Manager, Productivity, Benchmarking and Reporting Quality is pivotal in a specialist unit dedicated to driving improved financial efficiency across Victoria's health services. They lead the implementation and ongoing refinement of the Benchmarking Roadmap. This includes working closely with an established health service working group to develop and refine financial metrics, identify and analyse variation in performance and unpack the drivers of efficient performance within a health service and between peer health services.
The Senior Manager also leads the data quality work stream (which compliments the benchmarking work) by improving the quality of financial data being displayed in benchmarking dashboards. They will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of an updated set of reporting requirements as articulated in the Common Chart of Accounts Business Rules. They will need to explain the changes, respond to sector queries and continue to monitor adherence to the rules going forward.
The Senior Manager will also oversee the design and implementation of a health service financial productivity work stream.
We are seeking:
An accomplished professional with demonstrated expertise in health service financial reporting requirements, systems and processes used by Victorian health services. You will bring strong financial analysis skills and be able to analyse and generate insights into the drivers of financial performance within health services.
With accomplished stakeholder management skills, you will rapidly build partnerships with health service finance teams and respond to the needs of diverse stakeholders. With a persuasive influence, you'll secure buy-in for ideas and proposals, and your leadership will uphold public sector values, drive team performance, and enhance engagement through recognition and accountability.
