The Senior Manager, Intergovernmental Strategy and Policy, will provide leadership in the development of a strategic approach to all intergovernmental water policy issues, including the Murray Darling Basin Plan and the National Water Agreement. This will include working closely with the Director and relevant policy leads across Water and Catchments to ensure that Victoria has a comprehensive, integrated position on all intergovernmental matters, is delivering on all of its intergovernmental obligations, and that the Minister for Water and Senior Executives are supported to negotiate on behalf of Victoria.
The Senior Manager, with the Director, will be responsible for ensuring that Victoria remains ahead of emerging policy challenges, effectively represents its interests in intergovernmental negotiations, and maintains a strong connection with community concerns and expectations. This position demands not only a forward-thinking strategic perspective but also a commitment to ensuring that the community's voice is integral to the strategy, resonating through cross-jurisdictional interactions with the Commonwealth.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
