About the role:
As a Senior Technical Specialist in matters of National Health revenue, you will play a critical role in managing, analysing and optimising the revenue available to Victoria through various National health funding arrangements and inter-jurisdictional agreements. Your detailed knowledge and specialist expertise in national health funding will allow you to readily identify opportunities and risks to Victoria's funding entitlements and to take swift action to address. Your understanding of the complexities of the funding landscape and ability to translate this to meaningful action is essential to fulfilling the requirements of this role.
Overseeing end-to-end revenue functions, including robust multi-year forecasts, monitoring and adjustment within year, and detailed reconciliation post-year, you will maximise financial outcomes for Victoria across the health sector. You will also provide critical financial stewardship across intergovernmental negotiations, ensuring funding agreements, national reforms and policy proposals are underpinned by robust modelling and analysis to assess financial impact, affordability and risk.
Working across the department, central agencies, other states and territories and the Commonwealth to meet compliance requirements and to influence the areas of strategic reform nationally. You will support the Director, Intergovernmental Relations to provide strategic leadership and authoritative advice to senior executives and Ministers on interjurisdictional health policy and funding matters.
