About the Business Unit:
Police and Community Safety (PACS) is a branch within the Community Safety, Victims and Racing (CSVR) group. PACS plays a key role in supporting the Department of Justice and Community Safety's (DJCS) strategic direction to reduce crime and keep Victoria safe. PACS enhances community safety through public policy reform, governance and legislative advice, targeted programs, and restorative activities.
About the Role:
The role of the Senior Manager includes leading a team of legislation and policy officers working in a high volume, fast paced ever changing environment; overseeing high impact legislative reform projects; providing critical and strategic thought leadership in relation to policing and community safety; and investing in networks and working relationships with Victoria Police, the department and other agencies to enhance effectiveness and achieve sound outcomes.
