The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, First Peoples Programs provides strategic leadership and oversight of VicGrid's First Peoples program portfolio, ensuring initiatives are effectively governed, coordinated and aligned with organisational priorities. Reporting to the Deputy Director, First Peoples Policy and Programs, the role leads grants management, supports culturally informed program delivery and strengthens integration of First Peoples outcomes across VicGrid's infrastructure and access functions.
The role oversees the governance and administration of grants programs, ensuring transparent processes, robust compliance and alignment with self-determination principles. It also contributes to broader organisational strategy to strengthen cultural awareness and capability across VicGrid.
This position is classified as an “identified position” and requires that the candidate understands the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and possess key technical proficiencies to design and deliver Aboriginal policies and programs.
