The Corporate Services branch plays a crucial role in enabling VGSO's overall success by providing essential support and strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Balancing an appreciation of the complexities and nuances of the public sector, along with the requirements of operating in a competitive legal services environment, the branch delivers proactive, effective and efficient services to VGSO's internal and external clients.

About the role
As the Senior Manager, Financial Control, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office's financial control, governance, compliance and reporting functions.
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Analysis, in this newly created role you will lead VGSO's financial control function and play a key role in maintaining the integrity, governance and stewardship of the organisation's financial management framework. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders on financial control, reporting, compliance and audit matters, supporting informed decision-making and VGSO's long-term financial sustainability.
Leading a specialist team, you will drive excellence across financial reporting, governance, compliance, risk management and financial operations, while identifying opportunities to strengthen systems, controls and organisational capability.
