About the Role
The Senior Manager Culture & Inclusion is a pivotal strategic leadership role responsible for leading a team that shapes and embeds an organisational culture where people feel valued, safe, included and empowered to contribute their best.
Reporting to the General Manager People and Culture, the role leads CFA's culture strategy and oversees delivery of key organisation-wide initiatives including the Culture Review, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Strategy, Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) and Child Safety Framework.
Drawing on deep organisational development expertise, strong change capability and sophisticated stakeholder engagement, the role builds and maintains strong relationships across People & Culture, the broader organisation and Volunteer Fire Brigade Victoria (VFBV) aligning actions and priorities to CFA's people strategy.
In essence, this role is integral to shaping and communicating CFA's commitment to cultural evolution, diversity and safety on both internal and external fronts.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to provide strategic advice within complex organisational contexts, employing contemporary organisational development, change management and project management tools. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be pivotal, as you'll handle design and delivery of key organisational development initiatives, presentations, collateral preparation, and extensive report writing for the Executive team and other key stakeholders as well as external publication and government submissions.
Analytical expertise is essential for translating data into meaningful insights, and you should have a proven ability to lead cultural change, foster employee engagement and implement effective measurement and evaluation strategies.
We're seeking a candidate with tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Development, or a related field, complemented by significant change and project management experience. Additionally, experience or accreditation in methodologies like six sigma, lean, prince 2, and PROSCI change management will be highly regarded.
Understanding the role of volunteers as primary stakeholders and building strong relationships with external partners and other emergency services and volunteer agencies, is key.
