THE ROLE
On 20 August 2025, the Victorian Government announced a Child Safety Overhaul, which included accepting all 22 recommendations of an independent Rapid Child Safety Review. As part of the overhaul, Government announced changes to the Social Services Regulator (SSR), which includes bringing the Working with Children Check (WWCC), the Reportable Conduct Scheme and Child Safe Standards under one roof.
Working in the Child Safety Reform Implementation Branch, this position will support transformational change, driving the government's child safety reform agenda and shaping the future direction of the SSR. Reporting to the Executive Director, Worker Screening and Child Safety Reform, the Senior Manager will lead a team to develop and implement major child safety reforms at the SSR. They will use their exceptional policy development, project management, stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking skills to ensure effective and timely delivery of the reforms, in line with government and organisational objectives.
The role requires adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic environment and advanced stakeholder engagement skills to ensure effective coordination of activities across multiple regulatory schemes and multiple areas within the SSR.
