About the Business Unit:
Strategic Communication is the department's centralised communication team and delivers communication services on behalf of the department's business units to inform and educate the community and staff about departmental policies, programs, and legislation.
About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Campaigns, provides leadership to a team of professionals to identify, develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies and campaigns that align with departmental and government priorities.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing leadership and guidance on best practice strategic communication and campaign methodologies
- Identifying, leading and managing evidence-based strategic communications projects using specialised expertise, particularly in the areas of project management, contract and budget management, marketing communications and market research
- Developing processes and records to ensure campaigns processes are managed effectively and efficiently and meet all departmental and government requirements.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Thorough knowledge of State Government Communications – demonstrated knowledge of State Government and Department communication policies and processes, including the Master Agency Media Service (MAMS) contract, Advertising Approval process and reporting requirements
- Campaign experience, including solid experience across a range of marketing and communication functions, preferably within the public sector regarded as a thought leader in project management; considers historical, political, and broader context to inform project direction and mitigate risk; engage key stakeholders at senior levels; balances the needs of clients, team, and the organisation.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in communications or related field is highly desirable.
