What You'll Do
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Learning Facilitator to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of engaging learning programs for diverse audiences, from schools and tertiary students to community groups and older Australians. You will lead and develop a team of Learning Facilitators, manage resources and budgets, and collaborate across RBGV teams and external partners to create high-quality educational experiences. The role also involves delivering culturally appropriate programs in partnership with RBGV's Aboriginal culture and heritage team, maintaining knowledge of emerging teaching and learning practices, and ensuring all projects comply with organisational policies, risk standards, and the Victorian Public Sector Code of Conduct. This position requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and program development skills, and a passion for connecting people with nature, science, and culture through innovative learning experiences.
What You'll Bring
You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Science, Education, Horticulture, or Humanities, with at least three years' experience developing and delivering high-quality learning programs for diverse audiences, including special needs groups. You bring creativity in designing innovative programs, experience implementing new approaches and technologies, and, ideally, experience in teacher professional development. You are a strong leader with exceptional facilitation and educational skills, a commitment to ongoing professional growth, flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently. Knowledge of plants, sustainability, conservation, culture, and OHS policies is highly desirable.
