Position overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Lawyer to join our Legal Services Unit in a 2-year fixed-term role. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a regulatory environment and play a key role in supporting the continued expansion of the BPC's regulatory toolkit.
As a Senior Lawyer, you will primarily support the Regulatory Assessment and Review team, while also contributing to the broader advice and litigation functions of the Legal Services Unit. You will play a key role in advising, preparing, and reviewing potential rectification orders under the Building Act 1993, ensuring robust legal support across regulatory activities.
This will involve preparing court and tribunal documents including charges, summons, and statements; liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders; scheduling and coordinating proceedings; responding to or escalating enquiries; and generating and distributing legal correspondence.
This role will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, which may include research-related tasks, development of legal templates, policy guidance and project administration.
