About the Role:
This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a senior lawyer to take on diverse and challenging work, partnering with key stakeholders and contributing to legal outcomes in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
The Senior Lawyer is responsible for partnering with key internal stakeholders to provide high quality, timely and pragmatic legal advice under the supervision of the Managing Legal Counsel - Legislative Functions, Advice and Commercial on various areas of law. These may include statutory interpretation, administrative law, contract law, corporate governance, risk, insurance, legislative reform, privacy law, FOI, employment law and commercial matters. This role supports divisions across the BPC and includes contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a great opportunity to play a meaningful role in a newly established regulator at a time of significant industry reform.

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's regulator for building and plumbing.
