- Providing timely expert advice to project delivery teams on land and property issues relating to the delivery of the project. Advice must have regard to current contractual obligations, relevant legislation, government policy, key land stakeholders and physical issues and considerations in a major projects context.
- Maintaining current working relationships with key impacted landowners, relevant Government stakeholders and established Delivery partners, including excellent governance and record keeping capabilities, whilst maintaining or supervising an appropriate database and associated GIS layer.
- Identifying and obtaining project survey needs and coordinate with project teams and external survey contractors to obtain necessary cadastral and feature surveys to support additional acquisitions as well as review plans required to support completion activities for the project.
- Reviewing and coordinating the drafting and publication of various maps, figures, and plans related to land access, acquisition, leases, licenses, and schedules taking project timing, contract requirements, and statutory issues into consideration.
- Preparing and reviewing internal and external correspondence relating to land and property issues including stakeholder engagement, statutory notices, and briefings for senior management, Department Secretaries, and relevant Ministers.
Reporting to the Senior Land Specialist, the Senior Land Advisor will assist the Land team with a wide range of land acquisition, assembly, and completions activities and dealings to support the delivery of the North East Link Program. The Senior Land Advisor will play a key role by providing advice on matters relating to land and property within an Alliance delivery model, including access, acquisition, transfer, and disposal for the project.
About You

- Demonstrated experience in dealing with land and property issues across public, private, and Crown land including the purchase, transfer, disposal, leasing, licensing, compulsory acquisition, and temporary occupation of such land.
- Demonstrated experience in land and/or property related discipline such as surveying, valuation, conveyancing, or land/asset management, with a familiarity of land titles, title and survey plans
- Ability to generate and maintain accurate land related records and databases.
- A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in engineering, property, surveying, valuation, geomatics, project management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
This is a fixed term opportunity until May 2028.
It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
