Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

About the Koori Justice Branch
The Koori Justice Branch sits within the Court Practice and Strategy Division and provides leadership, oversight and strategic direction for Koori-specific programs across the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, including:
The Branch works closely with Aboriginal communities, Elders, Respected Persons and justice stakeholders to ensure culturally safe and effective services that support Aboriginal people engaging with the court system.

Court Services Victoria is seeking a dedicated and experienced Koori Practice Advisor to join the Koori Justice Branch, playing a critical role in supporting the statewide operation of the Koori Court and Umalek Balit programs.
It is an opportunity to contribute to a justice system that values culture, connection, self-determination and community-led outcomes for Aboriginal people across Victoria.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Koori Programs and Practice, and working alongside a team of Senior Koori Practice Advisors, this statewide role helps ensure the effective operation of the Koori Court and Umalek Balit programs across Victoria. You will provide leadership and practical support where vacancies or leave coverage exists, coordinate statewide operations, support onboarding and development of new staff, and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.

About You
As an Aboriginal person you will have subject matter expertise regarding knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Koori community, both society and culture and the issues impacting on it, especially in relation to their contact with the Justice system.
