The Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Defence, Aviation and Aerospace, the Senior Investment Manager – Aviation is responsible for leading and delivering aviation investment and job growth opportunities for Victoria. The role focuses on attracting airline investment, increasing air service capacity and securing new international and domestic routes to strengthen Victoria's connectivity and economic growth. You will work across priority sectors to identify and develop investment opportunities, lead high-level negotiations, and implement market development strategies. The role also involves providing authoritative policy advice, managing programs and budgets, and building strong partnerships across government and the aviation industry.

The Team
The position of Senior Investment Manager – Aviation forms a part of the Defence, Aviation and Aerospace Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The Branch provides whole-of-government leadership to grow Victoria's aviation, defence and aerospace sectors and capture strategic opportunities. It works closely with industry and stakeholders to attract investment, strengthen capabilities and enhance Victoria's global competitiveness.
About You
You bring strong industry knowledge of the aviation sector and its commercial drivers, particularly in relation to tourism, trade and economic development. You use your highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build effective stakeholder relationships and deliver investment outcomes. You also demonstrate strong project delivery capability, including strategic planning, negotiation and the ability to translate analysis into actionable outcomes.
