The Role
The Senior Investment Manager drives investment attraction and job creation outcomes across Victoria's South East Metropolitan region. Working across industry, government and the broader department, you will identify, develop and secure major investment and reinvestment opportunities. You will engage with senior business leaders to shape proposals, facilitate outcomes and lead complex negotiations. The role provides expert advice to senior executives and Ministers on economic, financial and risk considerations, including preparing high-quality briefings and submissions. Working closely with the Regional Director and a team of senior investment officers, you will build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic investment projects.

The position of Senior Investment Manager forms part of the Investment and Engagement branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment group.
The Investment and Engagement branch (Invest Victoria) plays a key role in shaping Victoria's business landscape by driving strategic investment, strengthening industry connections and aligning economic outcomes with government priorities. The group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow jobs, boost innovation and enhance Victoria's international competitiveness.
About You
You bring highly effective leadership skills and thrive in fast-paced environments requiring responsiveness and collaboration. You have strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders. You demonstrate proven experience in identifying and delivering business or investment opportunities, including business development, stakeholder engagement and managing complex projects.
