About the Role
There are two roles available, as we are recruiting for one ongoing position and one fixed-term position. These positions are located in the Fraud, Conduct and Performance Branch and reports to the Manager, Conduct and Performance Investigations.
The Senior Investigator is responsible for planning, managing and undertaking investigations into complaints and allegations of misconduct by department employees involving professional conduct.
This role will conduct and manage high-quality investigations and prepare high quality written materials including interviewing adults, critically assessing information, writing investigation reports, briefings and correspondence. The Senior Investigator provides expert advice, support and recommendations to people managers and delegated decision-makers about matters subject to investigations, risk mitigation during investigations and employment actions arising out of investigations.
The Senior Investigator builds strong stakeholder relationships and contributes to system improvements, while upholding Public Sector Values and departmental policies.

The Conduct and Integrity Division provides expert advice and support to Victorian government school principals and other people managers in the Department of Education on managing employee conduct and performance including child safety concerns and fraud and corruption.
