About the role
Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) is Victoria's consumer regulator, ensuring a fair, safe and competitive marketplace for Victorians. CAV is part of the Department of Government Services.
Working in Consumer Affairs Victoria and reporting to the Team Manager, the role of a Senior Investigator VPS4 is responsible for conducting investigations into significant breaches of consumer law and to contribute to compliance and enforcement actions, including Court and Tribunal actions using the department's integrated compliance and enforcement approach. The role also includes providing guidance and expertise to less experienced colleagues. Please note, this role involves interaction with traders and the general public. The role requires the ability to travel around Victoria, attending inspections and meeting with traders and members of the public.
